your Marquee
Although tables, flooring and lighting are included
in our package we offer you the flexibility to choose
the setup that suits you. The options below can be used
to change, add or indeed totally customise your marquee.
Tables
When choosing the table size you need to allow about
2ft of space per person. For round tables we suggest
how many people can actually be seated at each table
but this really depends upon how formal you wish to
be. Serving staff need space between guests but this
space is not necessary for a self-service buffet.
3 ft plastic garden tables
Can be used as occasional tables where space dictates
table size.
4 ft round tables
Suited for 6 guests can seat up to eight, the main constraint
being the number of china place settings required rather
than elbow room.
5 ft round tables
Seat between eight and ten guests. This table is the most
popular size as it is generally perceived to be the ideal
size for social conservation.
6 ft round tables
Seat between 10 and 12. Often used for more formal occasions.
6 ft trestle tables
Approximately 2' 3" wide and can seat 6 guests; these
are often put together to form a top table although they
are very suitable as service tables or buffet tables for
drinks and food.
Cake table
Approximately 2' 6" square used for cake cutting
ceremonies.
Flooring
Wooden Flooring
Our flooring is made to a high specification and comes
in sections to allow for levelling on uneven ground and
also allows for drainage when raining. The flooring is
finished to a high polish which means it is suitable to
be left uncovered, but if you are after that extra special
touch carpet can be laid on top.
Carpet
Carpet is available in an extensive range of colours and
can be laid on wood flooring or on a groundsheet. NB.
Please note that it is not always suitable to lay carpet
on just a groundsheet due to uneven ground or heavy rainfall.
Lighting
Lighting can be tailored to your needs; we can supply
5-arm brass chandeliers with matching sidelights which
give a touch of elegance. Spotlights can also be provided
to give direct light to individual tables and areas. Lighting
for the marquee exterior can be provided either by lanterns
or spotlights; coloured gels can also provide special
effects. These can also be used to create a realistic
disco atmosphere on the dancefloor.
